The human brain is hungry for fuel. In fact, it uses up to 20 percent of the body’s energy. To think right, you have to eat right. Our brain needs certain foods to enhance its performance, which means what we eat can affect our ability to percept, think, reason, and remember. When your brain isn’t supplied with adequate energy, you may experience fatigue, poor concentration, energy swings and even food cravings. A well-balanced diet is essential in keeping our brains healthy and working properly. What we eat affects not only our health but also the health of our environment.
